Plays not recording properly?

I just joined up this morning and installed the software...

It seems that there are some issues with the site recording the tracks I'm playing. If I check the Recently Played list for this forum, I see everything I'm playing showing up there. However, at this point, I've only had a single track actually log to my profile. The rest seem to be ignored - not appearing on my profile, and if I go the link for the track itself, it doesn't say anything about me having played the track.

It doesn't seem like it would mean it's a problem on my end, but being new, I can't be certain...

Update: Not all of them are coming through. It looks like most (but not all) that are making it to the recently played list here are making it to my profile, but quite a few are just not coming through.

Update 2: It looks like they are properly recorded here if I keep the app open, and not just minimized in the taskbar.

Please a need help and I do not know what happen. I put my album, my tracks and appers a messages that said waiting. I am waiting for 3 days. What happen?

Not able to sync my music collection

I've been trying to sync my music collection for the last couple of days with not success. I am using Winamp v. 5.32. I start the sync and within a couple of seconds I get "There was a problem syncronizing your library with the MyStrands server. This may be due to an internet or server connection problem. Please try again later."

My music library is on a network hard drive - Maxtor Shared Storage Drive. I don't know if that is the issue or not. I connect to MyStrands without a problem and am able to use the other features.

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, I am really enjoying MyStrands!

Selection

Hiya all! First off, great service, love a number of the features. My only problem with it is that literally half of my music isn't in the database. Now I realize my music tastes are perhaps (well ok, no perhaps about it) a little more eccentric than most: I heavily favor soundtracks and film/tv/video games scores. These seem to be lacking in the database: nearly all my tracks that are found are from compilations and collections, only the highlights of a given album, not the actual soundtrack.

Anyway my question is this: Is there any way to upload track listings for albums so that I can see and tag my songs, especially the less mainstream ones? Being able to do so would benefit others as well I believe: I'm not the only eccentric music lover out there. . .I hope lol.

I do understand you can't let everyone just try to upload albums, it would cause chaos pretty fast. But maybe submitting the tracklist for review, or even a suggestion thread in the forum so whoever is in charge of the database there can know what albums others are waiting for?

EDIT: I seriously hope I didn't just paint 'NEWB' on my forehead with this post heheh. Is there a way to do this sort of thing already?

Partystrands doesnt work on MACs

I cant get partystrands to work on my new iMac. Also, when are you guys going to rewrite the codes for the top played songs and all the charts to where they will actually work... if you insert the codes yall have on there now it fucks up your myspace....

Problem with WMP 11

I've been noticing since the new MyStrands was installed that almost everytime I close WMP11, it doesn't fully close and stays "on" (as it still appears in the Task Manager Processes). If I then re-start WMP, it loads super quick, confirming that it hadn't closed as wanted. To fully close it, I gotta shut it down via Task Manager. As a result, when I restart WMP, it turned off all the plug-ins and I have to click them all on.... and I have to do this almost everyday.

Thought I'd let you guys know.

Notes on using the MyStrands Napster Feature

The Napster full-play feature, (for now available in the US, only), may require some changes in your browser settings in order to work properly. In particular, you
must allow both pop-up windows and cookies for the site,
www.napster.com. Incorrect settings may make it appear that nothing
at all is happening when you try to use the Napster feature of
MyStrands.

Please see the relevant sections below if you are having trouble with
the Napster links.

Internet Explorer on Windows

In the Tools toolbar menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click
Pop-up Blocker Settings. Type www.napster.com in the
Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add. Click the Close
button to exit.

In the Tools toolbar menu, select Internet Options..., and go to the
privacy tab. Make sure that the slider is not set to "Block All Cookies".
Users with advanced configurations will have to make sure that 3rd
party cookies are allowed.

Firefox on Windows

In the Tools toolbar menu, select Options..., and go to the Content
Section. If Block Popup Windows is checked, click the Allowed Sites
button. In the Address of website box, enter www.napster.com
and click the Allow button.

Now go to the Privacy Section and from there, the Cookies tab. Make
sure there's a check mark for Allow sites to set Cookies.

Safari on Mac

From the Safari toolbar menu, select Preferences..., and go to the Security
Section. Make sure Block pop-up windows is not checked, and that
Accept Cookies is set to Always.

Firefox on Mac

From the Firefox toolbar menu, select Preferences..., and go to the Content
Section. If Block Popup Windows is checked, click the Allowed Sites
button. In the Address of website box, enter www.napster.com
and click the Allow button.

Now go to the Privacy Section and from there, the Cookies tab. Make
sure there's a check mark for Allow sites to set Cookies.

Google Toolbar, Yahoo! Toolbar, Other Popup Blockers

Make sure no other browser applications or plug-ins, such as the
Google or Yahoo! Toolbars, are blocking pop-up windows. Either turn off
pop-up blocking altogether in these applications, or find the
appropriate option to add www.napster.com to the list of web
sites allowed to pop up windows.

MyStrands charts

Whenever I go to the charts page and get the code to put it on my website and my myspace, the code is bad and does show up on myspace. Is anyone else haveing this problem?


Also!!!!


I want an option on MyStrands to put a link to my personal homepage!!!!!!! I cant believe we dont have that option!!!! Ahhhhh, creators, PLEASE can we have a little section up near our personal info to put a link to our webpage?

By now you've noticed our new look, making it easier for you to discover music and fun, and then share your musical interests and all the other strands of your life with the people in your life.

But, like life, the new site is a work in progress. We're working on completing translations, fixing a few technical difficulties, and adding features that well make your experience better than ever.

Let us know what you think, and please report any difficulties you encounter, to feedback@mystrands.com. We always appreciate your comments and suggestions.

One quick hint: If the mystrands.com website looks odd to you (for example, like a big blue box at the top with set links in it), do a force-reload (hold down shift while you click the reload in your web browser). Personal Playcount gone?

I don't know if it's just me but is the playcount gone? or if it's there, I can't find it!

On other people's, it's beside the Music tab but not in my own profile.
