Strands Management Team
Strands was founded in 2003 after Dr. Francisco J Martin brought together some of the most renowned talents in the fields of recommender systems and machine learning. Shortly thereafter Strands opened research labs in Corvallis and Barcelona. In 2004 the company started to hire a team of seasoned engineers. The understanding of complex networks and a robust architecture underpin the technology of Strands.
As of October 2007, Strands has a team of 90 people.
Dr. Francisco J Martin
Founder and Chief Executive OfficerFrancisco J Martin is a scientist, entrepreneur and specialist in artificial cognitive systems. He is the founder and former CEO of the AI firm iSOCO-Intelligent Software Components, SA. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with highest honors from Technical University of Catalonia.
